The body of the bloodsucker is made of plastic, which is covered with soft faux fur - giving the bat its realistic appearance. When activated by a loud sound or noises such as clapping, the bat comes to life. The bloodsucker is powered either by batteries or a power connection. For battery operation, you need 3 x AA batteries (not included), while you can use the power connection via the USB cable supplied.
