The Sorting Hat, originally called the Sorting Hat, is a really old and rotten wizard's hat that can work wonders. The shattered hat once belonged to the founder of the school, Godric Gryffindor. The wizard's hat serves as a guide for all newcomers to the school and sorts them according to their character and talents. When one of the first-year students puts on the old wizard's hat, he is assigned a house in which he can start his wizarding apprenticeship. Depending on the strength and weakness of the young sorcerer's apprentice, this can be Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. As is well known, Harry Potter was originally supposed to join the cunning Slytherins, but the cunning hat bowed to Harry Potter's wishes and sent him to the Gryffindors.

The Harry Potter magic hat is an original Harry Potter licensed item made of super-soft brown velvet fabric, with small pieces of fabric as patches and beautiful decorative stitching. The "talking" hat is only called that in the German movie translation, but doesn't actually speak! and fits children aged 12 and over and most adults.
